Pelvic health physical therapy is a specialized branch of physiotherapy involving the assessment and treatment of pelvic floor and deep core muscles. This area of physical therapy deals with pelvic floor conditions including pelvic pain, painful intercourse, prolapse, recovery pre-/post- pregnancy and surgery, urinary incontinence including urgency and frequency, and diastasis rectus abdominus. Education is a vital component - you will leave the session feeling empowered and informed with new knowledge about your body.

Trigger point dry needling involves the insertion of an acupuncture needle into the muscle for the treatment of myofascial pain and neuromuscular dysfunction. When dry needling is applied to an affected muscle or trigger point, it can decrease muscle tightness, increase blood flow and reduce pain.
Sky has completed the Acupuncture Canada Certification in Dry Needling (ACCDN).
Acupuncture stimulates the release of endorphins – the body’s natural pain-relieving neurohormones – through the insertion of needles into specific anatomical points (acupuncture points) to encourage natural healing. Therapeutic effects include: pain relief, increased energy, improved mood, and improved body function.
Sky has completed the Acupuncture Canada Level 1 Certification (ACC Level 1).
Sky is a certified yoga instructor with several years of experience instructing vinyasa, yin, prenatal, and restorative styled-classes. She often incorporates therapeutic yoga into her physiotherapy services.
